Volunteer Opportunity: Get Into Reading Group Facilitator
Last Chance to Apply!
Shared Reading groups meet in libraries and other venues around the city. Stories, poems and extracts from novels are read aloud and discussed by members of the groups, led by a Shared Reading facilitator. Members find that the weekly sessions are fun, relaxing and enjoyable. They have also been shown to improve people’s mental wellbeing and enjoyment of life because they bring back memories and help people explore their feelings and concerns in a safe, informal setting.
Full training will be provided during March.
We've extended the closing date for applications until
Tuesday 7 February 2012. So get your application is now!
